If you are unfamiliar with the artist Huskie, aka Mayra Boyle, then the first thing you should know about her is the fact she has a heart as big as her attitude. She's full of life and shares so much with many people. She's an inspiration and constant friend.

I can't say enough about Mayra as not only an outstanding friend, person, but artist. I encourage all to check her out. She goes through so much, this is just a little pick me up, as well as a way to show her I'm thinking of her.

Eh. I did this actually a few weeks ago. I had drawn Tigereye as one of my usual Snapdragons. I was amused. She totally needed to be doodled as one cause of the Tazmanian-wolf side of her genetics. So yea. Large jaws.

What can you do with crayons and a planning period? This.

This. The image is of my character Sutra, an 8 tailed kitsune, carrying a stick with some tassles and star lanturn. On her tail are tied a star for each tail (so 8).

The image took me 2 hours. Did it during my free time in lunch and in spots during the day (at my school I work at).
It was done with simple crayons alone and sharpie (Which was used when wax got too thick to make the lines from tail to stars)

I based this on my own dog. I've a Dalmatian. (No. It is NOT Dalmation ... 'a' not 'o') She's 12 and she's still my baby-pup.

I decided to write a bit of information. I plan on making a full series of Dalmatian-Spots... Many don't realize that Dalmatians come in over 10 colors. They're rare, but very possible. The first in my series belongs to my own dog, Pepper. She's a brown eyed, unpatched b/w female.

This is an image that'll be later used in the creation of Tigereye's reference sheet that'll go over her statistics, features, and bio. As it stands, just an imge to show her off as someone requested I drag her out of my morgue-sketches.

She was created back in 99/2000 ... and was before the big craze of making random species splices. She was my attempt at creativity back in the day when I was also trying to fit in with the 'husky' craze. She's a Tasmanian Wolf / Husky hybrid.

I'll be doing her reference sheet soon. This was a practice image -- I need to work on coloring techniques. Not entirely displeased with this image for once... :)

1) Practice a new technique in coloring Evana was trying to teach me a while ago.
2) Draw up a reference sheet for my character.

Rouka is a character found on Inuyasha Mush. She's a fox demon (she does have a human-like form, this was just more fun to draw).

Based the markings of her face off a Japanese Kitsune mask I had seen a while ago.

Image I did actually about a month or so ago. I wanted to wait until I finished coloring it, however.. time doesn't permit that.

You can see how she's changed ever-so-slightly in my doodles of her from the Ribbon image to this one. Yayness. She's all snarly. Anyway. For her 'adult' version, I decided to give her a flare of color and add violet and orange flight-feathers -- the original black dragon had its entire wings color-coded like fire...so sorta a play on that.

I've other images of her in the works, however this was a doodle (pencil) I did late last night. I have no intentions of coloring it as I am lazy. Only if I'm truly in an art block will this make it to color.

This is my Lunar-inspired black dragon character, Lunix, in her 'big/adult/ form. I'm still playing how I want things to be. But for sure I want wolf-like features, the mammalian with feathered wings. The horns I'm working on - pupiless eyes too.

I've a REALLY difficult time breaking down things into simple forms/colors like cel-shading requires. This was an attempt to just do that and play around with a limited pallet. While I think I got the gist of it, there's a lot more that I could do to better myself.

It's just a simple stupid-cute image of Lunix (black dragon type) with a cheesy/half done background. Yay cheapness.

Image Timed - About 5 minutes to sketch, and 10 minutes to pencil. Roughly an hour or so to color. (stupid cel shading :/ )

With my love of Lunar rekindled, I've been trying new experiments. With art there are leaps of evolution. Things that make us advance ourselves quickly because we find reasons to leave our comfort zones and push forward.

This image was such a piece. Thornwolf helped me deal with the coloring of the mountains and to gain depth. Thank you hon. I tackled a variety of new things.. both a full color BG, new techniques in coloring and in general style - anime-like to fit the theme.

The characters are Leera and Lunix. Two Lunar-fan characters I made up.

Her character created for the Shrine is a horse-archer named Jetta who works for Sutra (my own character).. Really cool character that's silver with white dreads for hair. Lot of info n' stuff found at the community. Anyway.

I had seen the Dog Show a night or two ago. I saw a type of dog and feel in love with the breed.

The breed is called a Tervuren Belgium (Fawn dominate) Her name is Lucia. I messed up on colorin' a bit and mostly did this out of experiment and a way to advance myself a bit more.

The character's name is Lucia. Don't be surprised if you see random art of her and her family (Meg Gile's Linda, Vision Crafter's Shahla, or RRChaser's Kalia)

A pure experimentation in color. The lines were pencil and -NOT- digitally inked. That's just graphite.

I played with new ways to do a bit of color, as well as to how color can be applied in Elements to pencil lines.

There are both good n' bad things to the image. It's also a 'decent' image of Sutra, since I had been requested to get some refs up of her.

It's been sitting (the linework) on my computer for a few months. Been trying new coloring techniques and getting through some art block.

Had the idea of corsets (as she wanted to be a part of my series I had been working on) and then her character being trapped by one of those chinese finger traps.

I was rather slow with this, as I did it in seminars. Had a few issues (and they're still there in my mind) with a few anatomy things. But over all, it was another practice doodle of Sutra.

I like drawing Sutra. Fun/easy character to draw. Taking the wings from an old idea/image I had done back in 2003 inspired by Victoria Secret.
