Every once in a while I feel like doing something with a tongue. I'm addicted to them damnit. Makes me wonder if I have an oral fixation. o.o I shall have explore that further... In any case, it's been a while since I've done a primarily monochromatic piece, and I wanted to emphasize the eye in this one, not to mention I'm still beating around the bush with Judi's coloring in her gods form.

This is from last year, one of my projects for my AP Art class my senior year of high school. The topic I chose was the representation of human emotion using the dragon's form and other elements of the piece.

Beyond mere sadness, the filth and murk of depression closes in on you, becomes you. There is a light of an outside world to be seen, but it's simply too much effort to look. All there is left to do is close your eyes to the world, and sleep.

Solitude is a peaceful, yet vaguely negative emotion. More negative for some than others. Sometimes, one chooses to be alone, and they are content. Sometimes, one is pushed into the background by far brighter, appealing things, and is often sad.

There is truely one thing that you can never be truely prepared for, no matter how much research you've done, how many classes you've taken, or if you've done it before: parenthood. It is one of the true suprises in life.

There is no great hieght, nor any great depth one can achieve without falling. The ones at greater hieght just seem to get more miffed by it.

Festivty is a very complex and intangible emotion. One feels a sense of masking all of thier darker emotions for the time being, to get swept away along with your fellow revelers.

I meant this piece to be for those who take a second glance to see something other than the focus of the piece.

The emotion in this one is quite obvious. I included the ruins beneath as a show of it being a very base sensation, the mountains to give it a sense of isolation and entrapment, the clouds to show the cloudyness of the mind this influences.
