To celebrate getting a tablet for my birthday, I thought I'd roll out the first victim. It took me a while to get used to the pen's pressure sensitivity (I sorta still am...) but overall, I'm thrilled to see how much more I can do with CG. ^__^

Places to rest are rare in the Valley of Monsters. Flying creatures find sanctuary in the topknots of Keru; trees and plants poisoned by demonic influences. Below, the Keru are riddled with great thorns, big enough to impale a grizzly and secrete an acidic sap. These perils, in combination with a malicious nature, discourage any thoughts of climbing, whatsoever. However, at the topknot, where spirals of dead vines sprout, the Keru are numb, and cannot feel those who rest upon it.

Vines done in marker, highlighted with colored pencil. Mateem was done in colored pencil. The background and sky were an experimentation in photoshop.

A full scale picture of a Keru should come about fairly soon.

It's funny, looking at how I draw myself now, and how I used to three months ago... ugh... K showed me some of the old art that I came him copies of... *cringe* Realllllly old stuff... I swear to the gods, he's gonna blackmail me with that stuff one of these days...

I needed some work with my canine muzzles (since I never draw them...xD) so, Vulpin was born! He's half wild dog, and half fox. Of course, it's easy to tell where the markings came from, and the body stucture... a mix a both.

Muse: In other words, you botched.
Me: You got it! ^_^

Some more disgustingly old work. Was made around the same time as the red dragon. ^^; (what was I THINKING, using a sharpie to color that BG!?)

Another picture I'm really happy with due to the fact that this didn't require a pose refference, but I was able to refer to an anatomy book to check my muscles. ^^ *happy*

A puppy pic of my dog, Teddy. I love him... even though he steps on my poor feet with those big paws of his. --; Done in colored pencil.

An experiment I did with my feral form as the subject. I first laid down the red prismacolor marker, then put on the colored pencil. I think that it turned out rather well. The one downfall are the marker overlaps/lines. If I could find a way to illiminate those, this would be quite a nice techinique for pieces that are dominated by a certain color.
