**I have an auction up for a custom one of these! http://www.furbid.ws/cgi-bin/auction.pl?xmiscfur&1108089328 **

The actual slice this is on is smaller than shown on screen by about 1/3. The slice itself is slightly curved, so the wolf does not really look so cross eyed/crooked, and the detailing is much softer and richer in person. I am working on trying to get good, accurate scans of these!
Pyrography and acrylic on tagua. Original is for sale, email me for details!

lemurpendsm.jpg

I currently have one of these *custom* pendants for sale!
http://www.furbid.ws/cgi-bin/auction.pl?fursuit&1108089328

This ruffed lemur pendant is a gift for the wonderfully talented Kenket! (http://www.kenket.com) It is pyrography on a tagua slice, the original slice is smaller than what is shown on the screen here - about 1 1/2" x 2".

People kept asking for photos of people wearing my masks, so here's one!

This piece is coming with me to the FC 2005 art show. It took me months to make, and the collar alone (which is made of over 2000 individual glass and liquid gold beads) took me over 100 hours to make. If you are heading out to FC, I will have work in the show and space in the dealer's den, so stop by and say hi!

liontagua.jpg
Image: liontagua.jpg   326x428 20381 bytes 2005.01.12

Pyrography on tagua.
The original of this is about 1 1/2x2 inches, and is much more detailed than this scan shows. The original pendant will be for sale in the FurtherConfusion 2005 art show!

(I also take custom pendant orders and have tagua pendants for sale on my website - www.foxloft.com/store/jewelry/taguapendants

tigertagua.jpg
Image: tigertagua.jpg   345x500 29326 bytes 2005.01.12

Pyrography on tagua. The whole piece is smaller than shown, about 1 1/4x 2 inches total. The original (made into a pendant) will be for sale at the FurtherConfusion 2005 art show!

"Ponder"
16x20" acrylic and ink on illustration board.
This is my part of Kyoht's "Bump in the Night" portfolio that will be for sale at FC 2005. I had a lot of fun making this, though I am not altogether pleased how it turned out.

herondancesm.jpg
Image: herondancesm.jpg   799x800 93240 bytes 2005.01.02

This was a commission piece, the image is painted on a 12" octagon-shaped deer hide drum.
The colors and painting are much softer and more vibrant in reality.

Heron is a symbol of patience and wisdom. Heron people are generally good orators and leaders, powerful speakers and good listeners. Heron medicine teaches people that good things are worth waiting for, when to speak and when to listen.

healinghoovessm.jpg
Image: healinghoovessm.jpg   691x700 85994 bytes 2004.12.07

This is a custom painted drum commission for Ravynwolf. It is painted on a 12" deer hide drum. It has a really high, sweet tone to it, and it's a drum I have been holding onto for over a year, waiting to find it the right owner.
The symbolism of the spiral represents a path, one with a distinct beginning and end, but many curves along the way. It is a very personal-relating symbol. The horse represents strength (standing strong but moving forward), feminine energy, empathy, and emotional wisdom. The blue and water themes are just that; a symbol of life, rejuvination, healing, power, and comfort.
The real version is much more vibrant in color and detail :)

This is a holiday card commission image that I am not happy with at all, but it needed to go to print today...so... here it is regardless!

ravenmask1sm.jpg
Image: ravenmask1sm.jpg   597x600 45632 bytes 2004.11.11

I sculpted this mask out of plaster taxidermy mache (very lightweight and strong), painted it, and feathered it by hand. It is a completely wearable mask. It is very large, covering the head, neck and shoulders, with feathering to spill down the back and chest. The original mask is for sale, and will be in the MFF 2004 art show. Contact me with serious inquiries only.

rmaskmviewsm.jpg

Multiple views of a raven mask I made. I put on all those feathers by hand. I pushed myself to get this done, it will be shown at MFF 2004.
The original is for sale, contact me with serious inquiries only. I am also accepting a limited number of custom mask commissions.

Pyrography on tagua; more information on tagua and my pendants for sale on my site:

I will be updating the online store there with about 20 new glyph images within the next few weeks.
This piece was a custom pendant commission for Vanessa Knight. The dancing wolf was actually an image I originally did as a tattoo commission - this particular pendant is double sided (one side my wolf, the other side the 'wereprint' image by Vanessa herself).

ikkakujuueinhorn.jpg
Image: ikkakujuueinhorn.jpg   619x800 75611 bytes 2004.10.19

"Ikkakujuu Einhorn"
The little girl looked up with dark eyes, almond shaped pools of wonder. Breathlessly, letting the whisper roll off her lips with languid awe, she mouthed one word. "Unicorn". The creature dropped its head to her outstretched hand and met her gaze. "Unicorn?" it asked, arching a feathered brow. "Have you no idea what I am?"

I had a dream last night about a kirin and a little girl. I woke up with an itch to draw the creature. I rarely use red like this, and I wanted the challenge of trying a warm color scheme. 8 1/2 x 11", watercolor, acrylic and india ink on illustration board.

amurindialg.jpg
Image: amurindialg.jpg   611x900 117664 bytes 2004.10.15

This idea has been stuck in my head awhile, so I finally did it. This is one of what will be a tryptic of native Indian cats. I have never painted any sort of real clothing, so this was my first go at a sari. It was also my first time using colored india ink over watercolor; and somehow I found this an appropriate time to try that :)
The other two, a tigress and an asiatic lioness, will be forthcoming.
The full image is 12"x18".

amurinddet.jpg
Image: amurinddet.jpg   392x400 44856 bytes 2004.10.15

Detail of my larger piece, "India Sunrise; Amur"
The colors are really washed out, they are much more vibrant in reality.

ccattcdet.jpg
Image: ccattcdet.jpg   564x443 55611 bytes 2004.10.09

Detail of the larger painting, "So Good to Be Me". This piece will be at MFF 2004.

circlesong.jpg
Image: circlesong.jpg   460x500 35677 bytes 2004.10.07

This painting was done with acrylics on a hand-made Sioux-style native american drum. It is made from elk hide stretched over a stained pine frame. It's 20" in diameter and has a beautiful, deep-sounding tone to it. The painting is protected, and it is a playable drum as well as something able to be hung on a wall or stand for display. The original, one of a kind drum is currently for sale, email me with serious inquiries only.

circlesongclose.jpg
Image: circlesongclose.jpg   425x300 19574 bytes 2004.10.07

Detail of a large drum that I painted with the image of a wolf.

bgriffsmile.jpg
Image: bgriffsmile.jpg   467x600 51997 bytes 2004.10.03

This is a mask I made out of a plaster taxidermy mache (it's very lightweight and strong), then painted, added a canvas and muslin headdress to, and feathered by hand. It is wearable and you can see out of the nose (nare) holes. It is big enough to cover the average person's head and shoulders, spilling down the back and chest a bit. The original is currently for sale, email me with serious inquiries only!

4view.jpg

tenguinksmfix.jpg
Image: tenguinksmfix.jpg   588x450 33080 bytes 2004.09.05

A tengu; a half-avian half-human creature out of Japanese lore. Sumi ink on rice paper.

caracalfix.jpg

A caracal warrior, rendered in graphite.

griffdetailfix.jpg
Image: griffdetailfix.jpg   321x300 31745 bytes 2004.09.05

A small piece of a much bigger whole, what would fit on my scanner at the time. A prarie falcon-based griffin, its attention caught elsewhere.
