It's the Ugly Duck again. Practicing in ink. I like that I can actually draw my glasses on this; they never looked right on my stupid wolf/fox/dog thing. 'course, it's hard to draw a goatee on a duck. TWO pens died on my while I was doing this in a bookstore cafe.

Why is it that whenever I open a tub of "Cool Whip" in our house, it's gone the next day, even if all I had was one mug of hot chocolate? I guess I may never know (but I have my suspicions...)

15 bad scans? I can do that, most of my stuff is bad lately. Drew a porcupine at work 'cause I'm feeling very prickly today. Don't touch me, just keep your distance.

We were having sushi tonight and my wife started playing with one of the salmon pieces, saying it looked like a little creature. So here is the first (as far as I know) AnthroSushi.

Kristi hasn’t quite got the hang of this ‘Secret Cabal trying to Rule the World” thing. She’s enthusiastic, but the other members hate it when she goes fund-raising door to door, or brings home-made peanut butter cookies to summoning rituals, or sews patches from “Claire’s” in the mall on her robes.

Summoned entities, on the other hand, usually appreciate the cookies.

I had no idea how long I had been walking. I had no memory of ever doing anything but marching across the badlands. I had no sense of anything but one foot plodding in front of the other as the sun beat down upon me through the thick, poisoned air. Suddenly a burst of color pierced the fog that shrouded my mind. Why must my scanner butcher my pencils? A wood duck. In a 70's shirt. Why? Cuz I've been lying on the couch sick all day and I have to draw something.

That's it, I'm gonna stay on the couch with the blanket pulled up to my nose for the rest of my life...

Shrinking this down destroyed the color pencils, but it wasn't that great anyway. I mustv'e done 6 sketches of the armor & I'm still not happy with it.

Drawn one of those days I wish I could go around ripping people's (or fur's) heads off...

Sue was thrilled when she found praying mantises in her garden. She was even more thrilled when monarch butterflies started coming there. But she was kinda traumatized when she saw how the two interacted!

A few years ago I was in a really crappy, stressful job, and I suffered terribly from insomnia. There's nothing worse than watching the sun rise when you've been trying to sleep all night. Even now I have to be careful not to think about insomnia when I'm getting ready for bed, especially when I'm stressed, or I'll be up half the night.

Probably the dirtiest thing I'll ever post here ;-)

I think I'm stressed.

My goth teddy-koala Kirby! His paws say 'LUV' and 'HAT'! Squeeze his paw and he says "don't touch me, you make me sick"! Build-a-bear, Jewelry & fabric marker.

Also my new tamborine with my fursona on it. Looks like my fursona has mutated again; it's never very stable, but who is? (Oh yes I'm so talented, all my friends play the guitar or the keyboard or at least the harmonica, and I play tamborine).

A (late) birthday card for a friend. As usual, the scanner played havoc with my gellpens. There should be a way to scan & display sparkles on-screen.

...then you check into your luxurious hotel, where if you're lucky the roaches won't keep you up all night and the maid won't steal your clothing the next day! All done in black gellpen when I should've been sleeping if the truckers weren't shining headlights through my window.

...then you listen to someone who sounds like they've had a Prozac overdose babble boring anecdotes for the next nine hours...

Ah, 3 days of corporate training! First, you get up at an ungodly hour and cross state lines...

Admit it, it's happened to you... you finally get a few solid hours to do some serious drawing, with everyone and everything else out of the way, and you end up with a dozen crumpled pieces of paper and a stupid picture like this...
